Dr. Donte' Gilbert, Assistant Principal

Hello, my name is Dr. Donte’ Q. Gilbert, and I am proud to serve as the Assistant Principal of Dutchtown Elementary School. My passion is creating a positive and supportive learning environment where every child feels valued and has the opportunity to succeed.

I taught at the elementary level for eight years before moving into school leadership. Most recently, I served as a middle school  Assistant Principal in Clayton County , where I focused on instructional improvement, master scheduling, and supporting students through 504 and SST processes. These experiences have shaped my commitment to building strong systems that support both students and teachers.

I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia, and I hold a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. I also maintain Tier I and Tier II Georgia Leadership certifications.

In addition to my role here at Dutchtown Elementary, I am an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and previously served on the University of West Georgia Alumni Board of Directors. I believe in leading with integrity, collaboration, and a relentless focus on student growth.

When I am not at school, I enjoy community engagement, mentoring, and spending time with my family. I am excited to continue partnering with our students, staff, and families to help every child at Dutchtown Elementary thrive.
