Beginning for the 2025-2026 school year, HCS students in grades K-12 are not permitted to display or use a cell phone, smartwatch, or other electronic communication device on school property during the school day.

Stories & Highlights

Dutchtown Excellence

Our school achieved Top Growth in KK, 1st, and 3rd for Amira Progress monitoring check. 

3rd grade earned the highest scores in the district on the Unit II ELA Assessment on both parts A & B.

For the 2024 GA Milestones, our 3rd grade earned achievement levels that outpaced statewide averages in reading.

 In Content Mastery, we grew from 59.4 to 64.16 — with our Math scores jumping more than 7 points and Science growing over 8 points! That means our students are mastering more standards and showing real academic strength.

In Progress, our Bulldogs showed outstanding student growth, increasing from 68.8 to 85.3! Math led the charge — rising from 57.9 all the way to 90.6, one of the biggest gains in the district!

In Closing Gaps, we climbed from 73.1 to an incredible 97.7, showing remarkable success in closing gaps for our diverse and resilient learners. This means our students across all backgrounds are achieving at higher levels than ever before!
